The Masters Table
God is the greatest and most awesome being in the universe. God the Holy Father and His son Jesus can make anything they want but what is it they want most? We humans get involved in many endeavors and most of them are for the benefit of ourselves. Even on mother's or father's day we expect to get as mothers or fathers when we should be giving to our children and showing them that they are special to us.
If we are going to celebrate our day of birth we should do so with our parents and give them gifts of thanks and recognition for the fact that they spent a good portion of their youth caring for us.
If we want to celebrate our wedding anniversary we should acknowledge that our mate is the one we can trust and allow into, not only our life, but our minds as well. They should be the one we long for and want by our side forever. We should realize that we love each other so much that we would rather die together rather than live apart and our love should be resistant to the destruction of aging, sickness and tragedy. It means that when life's blows send us reeling we will hold each other up and encourage with strength together knowing that God is with our oneness. We should convey this to each other every time we celebrate our wedding anniversary.
If we want to celebrate a day of prayer we should be praising the Holy God who created us and then giving His Son so we could be reconciled to them. It is more than just praying for those we consider most important to us or just for our country, but we should recognize God as the ones Who gave us life and all that goes along with it such as being able to smell a rose or see a beautiful sunset. It is because of God the Holy Father and His Son Jesus that we can tap into their Love, wisdom and understanding so we can have peace and prosperity. They want us to become like them which is to Love in the same way as they do. That is to have a love that goes outward to others in all we do. That my friend is our greatest destiny.
