This is also given as a sermon and I'm giving this sermon because I have found that many Christians are accepting sorcery under the disguise of innocent fun. It is a subject that God wants us to understand and when there is a threat to God's people ministers need to stand up and make their voices heard.
Although many
Christians would balk at this article and would count those like me that believe
Satan is entering the Christian Church and home as being to extreme. Even
so... those that has eyes to see, and ears to hear understand that this world
is fast being moved towards the ancient occult practice of sorcery. It's
to bad that many Christians today fail to
be alarmed so they could see the importance of shunning this evil and
all it's ways. The truth is that we can't afford
to allow it in our personal lives even if it looks innocent. We can't allow
the practice of sorcery in our children's lives just because it is presented
as a fun educational tool in schools. You may be asking, when you have
done this? You might even not realize who is behind the push to teach
your children such things. Well dear parent the largest publisher of children's
books in the world is supplying Harry Potter materials to millions of schoolchildren.
Scholastic Inc. is using its unrivaled position in the educational system
to flood classrooms and libraries with wizardry, repackaged as "children's
fantasy literature. Through the Harry Potter series, the ancient occult practice
of sorcery is being introduced in almost every public school in
In the first book Harry discovers that hes a wizard, and hes going to a school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At the station he meets a boy named Ron, whos also going to Hogwarts. What is witchcraft anyway? It's the art or practices of a witch; sorcery; and magic. It is magical influence that deals with all aspects of sorcery. Through this new Harry Potter trend many are learning the tools of the trade, which includes visualization, mind power, levitation as when they were levitating with the brooms. They use astro-Projection which is the method in which an individual can separate his consciousness from his physical body. They use Telekinesis or Psychokinesis which is about the movement of energy from faster moving frequency to the physical level. They teach fortune telling, potion mixing and these teachers sells potion mixing by saying, "In its essence magic is the use of technology, mixing a potion is just a form of chemistry."
They also teach spell weaving and curse casting and they even teach that there are unforgivable curses which denote that there are good curses. They teach how to communicate with the spirits of the dead, along with belief that drinking dead animal blood gives power such as they did when drinking of the unicorn's blood. They teach satanic human sacrifice such as the story of the 'cry' of the Mandrake as taught in the book by a Professor Sprout. These books also teach that demon possession is not spiritual suicide, and that passing through fire, conversing with the dark spirit world of the dead is acceptable.
All Harry's teachers tutor their students in the dark arts of sorcery and divination which is called in Harry's books "The Divination Crystal Ball." Divination is foreseeing future events or obtaining secret knowledge through divine sources, omens, or oracles. It is based on the belief that revelations are offered to humans in extra-rational forms of knowledge. Ancient Chaldeans studied birds' flight and patterns in water or entrails; the Greeks put their trust in the ORACLE. Present-day forms of divination include crystal gazing, palmistry, and astrology.
The Gate of Saturn.
The Gate of Saturn is symbolized in the Harry Potter series by the archway
with the veil in the Department of Mysteries. According to the Harry Potter
stories anyone who passes through this gate enters the world of the dead.
Now I looked up this Gate of Saturn and according to the Encyclopaedia
Britannica; it is the idea that the dead had to make a journey to the otherworld,
to which they belonged, and the oldest evidence occurs in the Egyptian Pyramid
Texts and the journey is conceived under various images. One is that the dead
pharaoh flies up to heaven to join the sun-god Ra, in his solar boat, on his
unceasing voyage across the sky, (Like the sun.) or he joins the stars, known
as the "Imperishable Ones," or he ascends a ladder to join the gods
in heaven. Many mythologies describe journeys to the underworld through gates;
they invariably reflect the fear felt for the grim experience that was believed
to await the dead. Sounds like the false teachings that sinners will burn
and suffer in a hell fire for ever doesn't it? If you still believe sinners
will be tormented forever send me an e-mail and I will send you my research
information on the subject.
Now according to the Harry Potter books when a seeker goes the Path of Liberation, he is often unsure of what to do. If he is able to empty his heart of all self, and to surrender his whole being to his inner god, his next few steps on the Path will be illuminated as a result of fervent prayer. Now this inner god idea brethren is directly from the teaching of the Anti-Christ. What will children think when looking to the true savior when they have grown up believing that they need to look to and surrender their whole being to their inner god?
I hope you are seeing here so far how the Harry Potter stories are removing Jesus and God the Father and replacing them with self power. If you have not seen it at this point just continue on with me here. In Part seven of the Harry Potter books, Harry will achieve the ultimate triumph: he will symbolically obtain the Philosopher's Stone, with which he can make the Gold of the Spirit and the Elixir of Life. With this, Harry will be able to pass through the Gate of Saturn for the last time, and then return, showing that he has been able to triumph over death. The truth is that Jesus is the only one that has triumph over death but if our children can be taught that they have the power to triumph over death than why should they follow Jesus; right!
Nostradamus and Harry Potter:
As an interesting point, I looked into the so called prophet Nostradamus and found that he used a great deal of divination.
As we will find later in this paper according to scripture my friend,
Nostradamus was a False Prophet because he practiced divination,
yet many Christians speak highly of his writings and yes, he
was the Harry Potter of his day. The question is do you fear the creator
God that gives the very breath we breath, and will God punish mankind in the
future for involvement in witchcraft, divination, and sorcery? Let's read
what the Apostle John wrote concerning the end time in Rev 9:20-21. "But
the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent
of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons,
and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor
hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their
sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts." The danger
with these Harry Potter books is that they do get people caught up in witchcraft
and evil which is of Satan the devil. When one gets involved with Satan they
will become like the one they follow. The fact is that when a nation accepts
the teachings and ways of Satan the result is destruction on all levels.
What's It All About?
There are hundreds of techniques for divination (fortune telling),
many dating back to before recorded history. Every human culture has developed
its own forms of soothsaying. The oracles of ancient Greece predicted the
birth of heroes and triumph on the battlefield. Medieval kings had their court
astrologers and wizards, who were consulted about political matters and marriage
choices. Today, many businessmen in Hong Kong and Los Angeles apply the principles
of Feng-Shui to their real estate investments and even for their household
decor. Personal computers now bring even the most complex techniques to our
fingertips. Having decided on a particular method, how does one proceed? Usually
you will have a question in mind, sometimes a very specific query, often a
more general desire to explore a particular area of your life. A peaceful
atmosphere with few distractions is best; you should be relaxed and able to
concentrate clearly. The phrasing of the question is important, as
is the interpretation of the answer, since the mind loves to play tricks,
oracles are known for their sly humor, and the answer may not be what
it seems.
For example, the message in a friend's horoscope may seem very clear: "Signing a contract leads to favorable results." What isn't said is that the results are favorable for the other party, not for your friend! And, as any devotee of the Tarot or I Ching knows, the answer is often cryptic; or, the oracle may stubbornly refuse to answer at all. It is generally considered wiser to avoid questions requiring very specific answers and concentrate instead on more general investigations. A query for a similar or related question should not be attempted within 24 hours of the first; to do so invalidates both readings. Can cards and crystals really predict the future? The modern soothsayer will explain that we are not trapped by a predetermined fate. What we seek is a greater understanding of the influences at work in our lives, the trends that lead us in one direction or another. We may not be able to change the world, but we can change what we do with it. We want information that will enable us to make more powerful choices. The instrument of divination, whether a crystal ball, a deck of cards, or the interpretation of a dream, is believed to allow us to tap unconscious resources within ourselves, often making an intuitive leap which allows us to perceive patterns or discover truths not previously noticed. The final choice my friend lies, not in the stars, but in our hearts and in our love of the true creator God that dwells in heaven.
These Harry Potter books glorify magic and paganism while non-magical people,
called Muggles, are despised and portrayed as boring, narrow-minded, and paranoid
of magic. The plan here my friend is to let your children GROW-UP with Harry.
By the time Harry has grown into a full fledge warlock (A male witch.) your
child will be a teen or older, and will look at Harry as a childhood friend.
During these years when your child is very malleable, they will have been
exposed to ALL the teachings of sorcery, and witchcraft. If Christians continue
with this attitude of accepting magic, and sorcery with all it's trappings
it will not be long when Churches will accept the so called white witchcraft
of Wicca. Does this align with the teachings of God, and the true
God's Point of view:
"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter
pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer,
or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells,
or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up
the dead." Deut 18:10-11. This scripture covers just about everything
Harry Potter teaches. But what else does God have to say on the subject? Manasseh,
the twelve year old King of Israel that God stated did much evil in His site,
made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft,
and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much
evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. II Ki
21:6. Here is more of the same and here we see the statement, "He
did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger." We
find in the next scripture how God views false Prophets that have false visions
using divination. Jer 14:14-15. "And the LORD said to me, "The prophets
prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded
them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination,
a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. "Therefore thus says
the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, 'Sword and
famine shall not be in this land'--' By sword and famine those prophets
shall be consumed!
Some Churches Think Harry Potter Is Just Fine:
Some Christians are burning these books and some are embracing them and one
of the reasons that some are embracing them is that church leaders are teaching
that and I quote…"They possess some good values, some good Judeo-Christian
values like cooperation, friendship, and honesty," they say that there are
Christian parallels in the Harry Potter movies as well like the part where
his mother jumps in front of him to protect him from the curse, and that is
what mothers would do to protect their children, right." They also say that
those who protest against the books are not seeing the whole picture and
that if someone only looks for the evil in the stories, then that's
all they will find, but if they look for the good they will find it there
as well," And then they make their case by stating that any reading is
good reading, that it's wonderful that children are reading books now because
we have had a difficult time getting them to do any kind of reading before
the Harry Potter books came out.
What a smooth way to reason for evil teaching! We are warned from
God that in the last days men shall call good evil, and evil good and today
we find that many liberal churches have adopted some of the values of Satanism.
Many churches have adopted the UN-Biblical concept that we must become like
the world to reach the world. Thus, we compromise and begin to condone so-called
Christian Rock. Many churches condone and accept pagan style ceremonies and
icons because their ministers will not teach the truth. They are emphasizing
"personal choice" based only on human reasoning rather than on
the objective standard of the Bible. The churches are teaching the Humanistic
theory of your OK and I'm OK in order to not offend those that go contrary
to the true teachings of scripture. They say we must agree to disagree in
order to bring our brothers in other churches together. Some ministers use
a lot of situation comedies hoping that the medium of laughter will change
the way in which people think about the values of life.
Indulgence:
Harry Potter is just another avenue
Satan is using to deceive a new generation into the indulgence of the self.
Over indulgence of the self leads to greed, and pride. Physical
lust. Anger, Gluttony, Laziness, Strong desire for power over others,
(Just as Harry Potter cast spells to get his way over others), Strong desire
for accumulation of wealth and material possessions, to be satisfied no matter
who might be harmed. Life becomes cheapened, losing its God-given sanctity.
Obsession with violence and murder, and the lack of compassion
or empathy for those individuals who are handicapped or who are ill.
I predict that Harry will become obsessed with death
and sacrifice in the future. Obsession with death leads many to hard-core
Satanism that will demand human sacrifice.
What should we do about Magic and sorcery according to the word of God?
"And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also,
many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned
them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled
fifty thousand pieces of silver." Acts 19:18-19. and rermember the scripture
in I Cor. 10:21-22 which states...You cannot drink the cup of the Lord
and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table
of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
