God's Dietary Laws:

Some are questioning the validity of the existing Commands of God in the Old Testament whether we should continue observing the clean and unclean Laws concerning Fat, Blood, or unclean animals described in the book of Leviticus. God also commanded we should not eat the swine and that it was so filthy that we should never even touch their dead carcasses as we find in Deut 14:8 "Also the swine is unclean for you, because it has cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud; you shall not eat their flesh or touch their dead carcasses.”

Those that want to denounce these Laws of clean and unclean diet try to use Acts chapter 10; 9-16 however they only focus on a few scriptures thus not understanding the complete story. They state that the clean and unclean Laws are done away with because God showed Peter in a vision ALL animals Clean and Unclean and then they use what is recorded in Acts 10:13-16 “And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat." But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common." This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again."

Now we must admit that the scriptures here does state "What God has cleansed you must not call common." And this was done three times denoting that God wanted Peter to get the point. What people are not taught in relation to this vision however is that Peter was sent to preach to the Gentile Nations as was the apostle Paul also and God knew what Peter stated in verse 28; "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation.” And then Peter stated here; But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.”

So we see the real reason of the vision was to show the apostle Peter that he was to consider ALL people as he would a Jewish citizen as any seasoned bible student knows the Jewish citizens believed anyone that was not of their country was considered as “UNCLEAN" which makes the point. We also see on into verse 34 the apostle Peter stated… ”Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God." Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. "But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. "The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ-- He is Lord of all.

Many will not accept these facts here because they are blinded by what they believe and the fact that they want to continue doing what they want to however a day will come when they will have their eyes opened and will have to reject or accept truth and that will be their free choice. If anyone rejects even this truth the result could cause them to receive the great deception and possibly even condemnation because to reject the truth when the Holy Spirit opens the mind is the same as a rejection of salvation because how can they reject one truth without rejection all truth when God the Holy Father calls?
